Ascent Trip ReportI hiked with my son Chris, my brother Rick and his son Bryan. This was everyone's first hike using snow shoes. The main trail (a dirt road covered with hard packed snow) could have been hiked with good boots and ski poles, yet, with two feet of snow on the ground and a few icy patches along the way, the snow shoes clearly helped.
This was a very easy and enjoyable hike. On our return trip there were a number of cross country skiers along the trail (Looks fun - I think I'll try it sometime).
The road to the trailhead was clear, the weather was great, the hiking was easy, and a good time was had by all.
