Ascent Trip Report

Parked on side of Dresher Rd, walked up Old Dresher Road to first fork and went left, as some hunters I met told me. Next intersection (100 yards) bears many "POSTED" signs. I took care to not wander left of the road, as it is private. I first made a right on the trail - I soon learned it is not the blue blazed trail. I wound up going on the "road" (kind of straight ahead, up hill) (If you do this, look for blue blazes to ensure you are on the correct path) I was a bit confused here as you can tell. It is a nice uphill pull. The old road is now a temporary stream for runoff. After the trail levels off for a while, it intersects with and becomes the AT - IF you continue south. When the white blazes start, the northbound AT goes to the right, into the woods. Luckily, I had sectioned this area earlier this year. After about 0.2 miles on AT, when I was at the proper E/W coordinate, I turned north and bushwhacked to the ridge of rocks, then climbed the boulders to the summit. There was a "blind" of sorts here. I think it is an abandoned post used to trap birds and tag them. There are a few candidates for highpoint, including the shack, the trap area to the east of the shack and a rock pile a bit to the west of the shack (my pick). After visiting all high areas, and taking some pics, (no view due to fog, but I've read it's tremencous)I made my descent of the boulders, which was considerably more difficult than my ascent as it was snowy/icy and mossy. I then returned to my car via the same route.
