Ascent Trip Report

I drove down from Moncton, New Brunswick on Friday October 12, 2007 and met my brother at the camp site, he drove up from Conneticut. We had just enough time to setup our campsite then it started to rain heavily. We managed to get a good fire going with wet wood.... we must have looked funny all dressed up in rain gear standing around a fire in the pouring rain.

Next day we woke up and it was clear and cool. We took Helon Taylor up to Pamola Peak, had the trail basically to ourselves. We crossed the Knife Edge, which has some wonderful views, and descended Chimeny Trial.

The next year on September 20, 2008 we went back and did another ascent and took our father this time. He turned 60 early in the year but you would never know it, we did a longer route than previous year and we made much better time.
