Ascent Trip Report

After finishing a short walk (.6 miles round trip) up Carpenter Hill, Sacramento high point, I drove to Mount Vaca. Beautiful drive along the valley, however the road gets narrow as you go up hill. Follow the instruction in the previous reports and you'll get there in not time. I also parked behind the gate and walked it. However, I saw 3 "utility" trucks driving up to service the antennas. I'm sure I could have driving to the top without any problems, but I wanted the exercise as well.
Great views from the top.
Had I know there was another named peak "Mount Vaca-North Peak", I would have walk the extra 100 yards to hit it.
