Ascent Trip Report

The trip started at 9am at Angels Falls. We then hiked the two miles to the ski hut, were we stopped for a bit to rest. Once we left there then trail became icy then snow covered. The last mile involved a scramble over snow covered rocks and a difficult uphill hike through 5 inches of snow. The summit was very windy (45mph gust). The plan was to cross the the Devils Backbone to Mt Hardwood but the icy conditions and high winds made it uncrossable without crampon's.
