Ascent Trip ReportLeft AMC hut at 10:30am, took Holt Trail to Clark / Cathedral Forest Trail to Summit. 2.6 miles one way. Summitted around 1:00, ate lunch, and took same route down and arrived AMC hut around 3:30.
Conditions were fair: Overcast; mid-30s temp; 6" of sticky snow all the way up to treeline. Hard snow crust. ice and exposed rock above treeline. 15-25mph winds at summit; about 10-20F with windchill.
Equipment: Double boots, crampons, and axe. Other hikers had snowshoes or just winter boots w/o crampons and seemed to do fine.
