Ascent Trip Report

12.2 miles round trip, 2200+ elevation gain. Cold: 28 to 34 degrees today.. Snow on trail, with drifts. Calm until the summit, with cold winds on top. Everything had hoarfrost on it. Lake Tahoe and Fallen leaf lake were beautiful. Could see Castle Peak and Lola in the distance. I think we were the only ones on the trail. Didn't see anyone at the parking lot when we left and when we came back. Never saw or heard anyone. There were some old tracks in the snow, but after the first mile, they stopped. We were the only people who left tracks in the snow for the rest of the trail.
