Ascent Trip Report

This was a Sierra Peaks Section trip led by Don Borad and Phil Marquez. On day one, our group backpacked from the Shepherd Pass trailhead over Shepherd Pass to Lake 3661, which is located just below the pass and is where we set up camp. On day two, we climbed Junction Peak via its class 3 south ridge, ascending Diamond Mesa along the way. On day three, we backpacked over Shepherd Pass and down to the vehicle.
