Ascent Trip Report

Drove west into AL then headed on CR 87 south and easily found this nearby HP off CR 39. There is a county water tower (of course) sitting on the high ground although the true HP appears to be on the edge of the private property next door. I parked at the water tower and hiked down to the small creek. Hiking up to the HP, I passed the property with what appeared to be about a dozen barking dogs ( of course) all seemed harmless but willing to alert my intrusion to all. In the ditch next to me was one of their brethren that had ventured to my side of the road and got whacked by a truck. Apparently, very recently, as there was no smell. The pack of dogs were not interested in crossing the road to investigate me. Thankfully!

The actual HP is on the edge of the adjacent property and because of all the dogs, I decided to drive up the dirt drive and make a T turn on the spot. Stopped, stuck my foot out of the door, and then drove on.
