Ascent Trip ReportMarc was kind enough to let me tag along on his summit mission - never would've made it otherwise! the 1mi whack cut off ~4mi RT, making it a barely feasible 14mi total. it was unusually warm for the time of year and though the sky threatened rain all day, and we had a few light sprinkles (the first one, while coming down the slide, made me nervous), it didn't actually rain until we literally reached to the car. so grateful. i was not nearly as physically destroyed and downtrodden as expected; other than having wet feet since mile 4, trauma was kept to a minimum.
feasted at the Common Man on the way home. (Doublebow) Ross called, having finished his NEHH solo, wondering if we were still in the area. he met Marc and i at CM and we hung out in front of the fire, sipping drinks and laughing at Ross' nightmare first date stories. i promised him that i will make it to one of his list finishes someday...
