Ascent Trip Report

Waterman (14A)(3X), Islip (14C)(5X)
This was a scheduled hike with Mars as the co-leader. Joining us was Kathy Cheever-Bonfire and Joe Whyte. For Waterman, we went up the ridge from Cloudburst. It starts where the PCT comes up to the highway. It’s a good use trail that comes up to the road to where several trailers and equipment were. Follow this road to almost the end, then turn left and follow use trail to peak. I believe this was the same route I took with Southern Courtney for my 1X list finish.
For Islip, started at Islip Saddle. Walked up the trail to a gully just before you cross the road. Hike a short distance to where it meets the ridge route I’ve taken before. It is fairly easy to follow the ridge to the top. Came down the same way.
