Ascent Trip ReportLeft home at 12:20, back by 3:10, 40-minute drive, 60-minute climb and 30 minute descent. From Camp Misery at I went up trail 8 to the junction with 68, then took 68 south until it turned more westerly, a short and off-trail cutoff hooked me up with trail 7 which I followed to the saddle where 392 heads down to Picnic Lakes. I did not take 392 - instead I followed an un-maintained hikers trail up and along the ridge and to the microwave tower then followed trail 717 to the peak. I took 717 all the way down to the car, running most of the way. 1811 ft, 2.5 miles up, 3 miles down. The view was obscured by the clouds, the blowing grapple was quite unpleasant, but the exercise was good.
