Ascent Trip ReportMade my way to Whiteface with my two sons and two of their friends. After asking a few people what route would be the best for the crew I had in tow I got some bad info and didnt really have a good plan or map. It took us almost five hours to make the top of Little Whiteface some on a trail but mostly off trail.
The guys each had a backpack that I wound up carrying because they got tired. When I got to the top and asked Jordan how many waters he had in his pack and he said "three" so I asked why it was so heavy only to find out he had taken all his school books with him as well!
I did not prepare as I should have.
