Ascent Trip Report

We used this address to get to the trial head:

129-149 Rindge State Rd Ashburnham, MA 01430

Peishan, Evey, Wolfgang, Sugar and I started up the trail around 5:30pm. About a 1/4 mile up the trail there is a junction with signs saying the Wapack Trail branching off to the right. We took this trail up to the top of Watatic. The climb was easy with mild evaluation gain. The top of Watatic is clear with great views. There is a cairn and two US Geo survey BM. We took some pictures and then continued on over to East Watatic. East Watatic has much better views and is also clear with 360 views. It was too late to go back and grab Nutting Hill so we went back down the trail to the parking lot on 119.
