Ascent Trip ReportI didn't read up on how to get to the saddle northwest of the peaks that others' had used, so I assumed it would be the road coming out of Luning. WRONG! While even Google Maps shows that road as being a through road, I can't fathom how. I don't see how a road ever could have been there, and, indeed, I didn't see any traces of one above where I parked at 6480'. Though if the road never existed, I don't know why there would be a road to the mouth of the canyon. Hmmm.
Anyway, it was a scenic canyon, and an enjoyable route to the peak.
