Ascent Trip Report

Please let me admit it right away; I was not at the real highpoint - only the skyterrace of "The Peak" (given the fact that this peak is not on any lists anyway, I thought I could take the liberty). My flight from Shanghai was substantially delayed and I did not arrive at the hotel until 8 pm, why it was too late/dark to try to find the way to the actual summit. The people working at the top station also said that the top area was private and not accesible, but I doubt they really knew. The weather was great though (clear sights and a smooth cool breeze) and the night view of the enlighted Hong Kong scyscrapers (most in the world, I learned) absolutely stunning! The next day I was occupied in a well arranged data privacy seminar - thank you, Baker & McKenzie! - and did not get a second chance before returning to Shanghai...
