|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||Big Indian Mountain|
| Location:||USA-New York|
| Elevation:||3700 ft / 1127 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThis was a consolation peak for me after being dnied a southern approach on Vly and Bearpen by a bunch of No Tresspassing signs posted by some douchebag landowner...
I used the Biscuit Brook trail both ways. The climber's trail (herd path) to the summit is easy to spot from the main trail, and is marked with a cairn. The trail to the summit is a bit sketchy in places, but not too bad.
RT was just over 4 hours at an agaonizingly slow pace due to back spasms. The RT was about 8.25 miles, not the 9 claimed by the DEC.
