Ascent Trip ReportHiked Abraham & Ellen today with good friends Brian , Darrel , Randy & Mike.....Started at Lincoln Gap up the Long Tr. Just before hitting Abe summit it got a little steep & rocky but we all made it to summit...No views at the top as it was socked in....We stopped to refuel a bit then up the trail to Ellens crossing a few other peaks along the way....After leaving Abe summit we stopped to look at the plane wreck ....Pretty cool spot & glad that all got away alive ...As we were hiking along the Long Tr. we came across alot of Moose droppings but didn't see him :-( .....We stopped for lunch along the way & we got to Ellens we went down the maintenance rd...Almost down the bottom we saw 2 Black Bears run across the road...the 2nd one took a face plant as he tried to jump a ditch but seemed OK Mike laughed & I told him the bear would remember that & come back for him LOL......We had a great day & a fun time ,....Another 2 Vt 4,000 ft done ....1 more to go Killington
