Ascent Trip Report Mt Flume revisited & Brian's #37
Today we did Flume to help Brian catch up to me...It was a great day & didn't rain till we were headed down & just for a little while
We started around 8 ...Lincoln Woods Tr was bare & so was Osseo 1/2 way up....We started seeing snow & ice at 2600'.By the time we hit the ladders the snow was knee deep .Post holing was the norm for the day. At 1 point I had post holed like 3 consecutive steps & almost gave up....Then I saw we were only like .16 from the summit & kept going..Glad I did as when we got to the summit the views were awesome & there was hardly any wind. Brian & I sat & had lunch for about 1/2 hr & enjoyed the views..On way down we saw a few more hikers & when we hit the ladders it started to sleet rain & snow(go figure). But it ended quickly
At the parking lot Brian & I celebrated our accomplishment with a beer & cheese & crackers...
