Ascent Trip ReportCamped partway up Andrews Ridge in a hammock between two pine trees (there are no nearby flat sections for a tent between near the trailhead and the main ridge of Nebo). Made South Summit in good time, was then informed by climbing partner that he needed to be home by early evening.
Headed home without reaching the true summit, which was quite disappointing. I would have done it had my partner driven separately or bagged his Saturday evening plans. Oh well.
Mt. Nebo is a stout hike. It includes considerable mileage and good elevation gain, but the views are spectacular and you don't get the crowds most of the Wasatch does.
