Ascent of Bull Mountain on 2004-07-17Date: | Saturday, July 17, 2004 | Ascent Type: | Unsuccessful - Turned Back | Peak: | Bull Mountain | Location: | USA-Utah | Elevation: | 9000 ft / 2743 m |
Ascent Trip ReportLost (overgrown) trail near where the canyon opens up to the upper bowls. Partner was exhausted and more than ready to scrap the trip, unfortunately.
The display of Western Columbine along the stream was magnificent, worth the trip by itself. I did not expect to find such striking and lush vegetation in a not-so-lofty and seemingly dry range in the Great Basin.
