Ascent of Snowdon on 2003-05-17| Others in Party: | Warren Marc Parry Andrew Baguely and John Orme | | Date: | Saturday, May 17, 2003 | | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | | Peak: | Snowdon | | Location: | UK-Wales | | Elevation: | 1085 m / 3560 ft |
Ascent Trip ReportThe top of Wales and (Gwynedd) was but a short stroll down and up with a feeling of superiority over the other walkers for taking easier routes. Although to be fair anybody walking up that day should be pleased. The summit despite the weather held many people perhaps 50 in the immediate area, another 100+ in the café area. Tried in vain to take the train down as I was to say the least very cold and tired, however the train had stopped running with the wind increasing. Still in about an hour and a half we were back at the car and another coffee.
