Ascent Trip ReportThe Mount Rogers/Grayson Highlands State Park is another one of those destinations that has to be visited in mid to end of june when the rhododendrons are in full bloom. The attraction here is VA's highpoint MT Rogers, the beautifull rhododendron bloom and the wild ponies which are not actually wild - they come right up to you looking for food. Its got a great CG and visitor center.
