Ascent of Li a'Deas on 2001-08-02| Others in Party: | Warren Rob | | Date: | Thursday, August 2, 2001 | | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | | Peak: | Li a'Deas | | Location: | UK-Scotland | | Elevation: | 281 m / 922 ft |
Ascent Trip ReportThe ascent from the col was one of the steepest I have attempted. The ground was very wet even at such a gradient. Warren managed to dislodge a fairly heft rock above me as it slid over the mud. All four limbs were needed and the poles had to be thrown up ahead. Still the route meant that the top was gained very quickly. Again great views could be had below. The route back once again weaved through the lochs. A great evening was had on Berneray drinking much whisky and beer.
