Ascent Trip Report

The road in gets consistently worse after leaving Bradshaw Road. At about 3000', the road goes into a wash and the road is partially washed out, so we decided to stop there. In retrospect, stopping a half mile earlier would have been best, as we probably didn't drive that section faster than it could be walked. Also, at 3000' there is abundance of teddy bear cholla- not great for camping.

I preferred our somewhat longer but less steep ascent route, and probably would have preferred descending that way as well. It had less nasty prickly obstacles as well. That said, there was more than enough for me to wish I had worn boots.
