Ascent Trip ReportOn the way up I heard a rustle behind me. I turned around, and there was a young deer stepping right out onto the trail. It walked towards me on the trail until it was almost close enough for me to touch with a hiking pole. After a few minutes of eating trailside leaves, it disappeared into the woods. I've never had a deer approach so close before!
