Ascent Trip Reportascended dorset hollow trail, first to south peak then to north peak, then continued the loop around & back. Trails were obvious but there were more than shown in the Day Hiker's Guide, so we found ourselves at a couple of confusing intersections. One we might have missed entirely but for a small hand-lettered arrow sign nailed to a tree: "N Peak". Not too buggy considering the time of year.
Took our time, photographs of oddities along the way, shared a beer at the n summit while signing in to the canister and photographing a few past entries from others. chatted w/ an arrival, Eric Rathbun - no trail name. Dorset was #98 of his NEHH - next day he planned to do Mendon and Equinox. We exchanged photo-opps, & he mentioned that he would post his pics on his site: ericexplores.com.
After he headed off, the marker was placed, aided by stephen's great height. Found our way back to the car & headed to The Loft for a meal.
