Ascent Trip Report

This was a fairly long and hot trip. The time spent bushwhacking was 20 minutes of fighting briars and brush, with a few spots of easy climbing. No summer view from the summit. I got a bit off track on the way back down to the AT and it ended up taking me 23 minutes to find the trail. There was a lot of evidence of heavy wild hog activity, as well as signs that a bear was operating in the vicinity (scat pile, large slab rocks flipped, ripped apart old rotten downed trees), however I saw neither on this day.
