Ascent Trip ReportWe parked at the DEC Parking Lot at the very end of Prediger Road. I wasn't into trail reports when I climbed this mountain, so this is based on a fuzzing recollection. This was my very first hike where the summit was the goal. I remember being quite impressed by the obstacles and climbs required to hike this mountain. I've hiked it since and I must concede that Twin is one of my favorite hikes in the Catskills. When we got to the top, we ate lunch at the Southeast Twin ledge. The views of the Ashokan Reservoir and beyond where fantastic. I was quite beat at this point, being in poor condition, but we hiked on to the true summit of Twin and the other view point. This was also impressive, but we turned around quickly and made our was back to Jimmy Dolan Notch and down to the trail head.
