Ascent Trip Report

We started out at seven a.m. and headed for the north side of Kraft and found a route up through the sand stone. At the summit, we met up with Karen, who had come up by frontal assault on a steep gully on the south side. We continued on together until the saddle with New Peak. M decided to head down, as an early T-Day dinner awaited while Karen continued on with us. At the summit of New, Karen decided to head down the way we came up and Rraine and I continued down the west ridge. Rraine had had enough for the day, so I dropped my pack and climbed Red Cap via a north facing chute. I was up and down in about 45 minutes, which included a phone call from my daughter in Denver! It was a fun outing all around. Distance and elevation gain are for the entire trip.
