Ascent Trip Report

Intended to go short way up and back. 4.2 mile trail. Sierra club apparently maintains and doesn't want it marked for some reason. Watch for it on your left going up after the falls. If you walk more than 10 min you passed it. I ended up going long way up to Baldy Notch ski log and across Devil's Backbone trail. I came down the short way. In truth, it might be best to go up and back the long way. Although longer, it gives the vertical in a more civilized way. I think you can move faster and complete it in same time as short. View from inside the bowl on the short was better thought. I guess in close I'd recommend up the long way and down the short just as I did by accidtent.
