Ascent Trip ReportLeft our home in Idyllwild at 0700. West on Earnie Maxwell Scenic Trail to the South Ridge Trail 4.5 miles to the Lookout Tower. Met Jeffery, the volunteer lookout guy, who showed me around and encouraged me to sign up as a volunteer. Sounds fun. Then descended through Saddle Junction and down to Humber Park via The Devil's Slide Trail. Then followed Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail 6.5 miles back home arriving at 1330. 11 miles total; 6.5 hours. Great hike!
