Ascent Trip Report

State High Point #2 of 3 in 3 days. Drove up from Humphrys (Flagstaff, AZ) and stayed in Tonahpah. Drove over to the Queen Ann Mine road and discovered I was low on gas and didn't want to risk heading up so drove a little south on Rt 6 (~5 mins) and found a gas station to fuel up. Then, headed back to the mine road. I had a AWD Chevy Avalanche Hertz rental and drove right up to the trailhead (the saddle actually). On the way up I picked up another peakbagger who had driven in the night before. He parked slightly lower at a pull-off as the road beyond was no passable in his 2-wheel drive vehicle. I was surprised he had made it as high as he did. The hike up to boundary was uneventful and very beautiful. I bagged Hosebag on the way up, and Trail Canyon Saddle Peak on the way down.
