Ascent Trip Report

We did the Gorge Brook-Carriage Road-Snapper Trail loop. The trails were in decent shape, and overall not strenuous. The Gorge Brook Trail provides a pleasant walk near the brook until 3300', and then it passes through some nice woods, at one point reaching a view that was created when a small swath of trees was clear-cut for some reason. The trail reaches the treeline a short distance before the final approach to the summit.

We descended along the Carriage Road, making the short side trip to the south peak. Further down, we took the Snapper Trail back to the Gorge Brook Trail and returned to our starting point at Ravine Lodge.
