Ascent Trip Report

Repeat visit for me but a first visit for my hiking partners. It was an overcast day with great temperature for hiking. Having hiked the loop clockwise last time, I suggested counter-clockwise today. Turns out its pretty steep either way - go figure. Surprising number of people hiking these mountains today. Although it was overcast, the clouds were above most mountaintops making the views from both north and south outlooks were great. The fall colors were nice. Was able to feed a few Grey Jays at the North outlook. Everyone did really well on the hike. Really good day. After the relative quiet of the trails, we got back to the car and it was crazy crowded with leaf peepers. Different world.
