Ascent Trip ReportSet off from North Twin trailhead at 6am, arriving at North Twin at 8:30am and South Twin at 9:30am. Followed Twinway until intersection, then to Bondcliff Trail, passing Mt Guyot South Peak along the way. Took West Bond Spur to West Bond, arriving at 11:15am. Turned back for Mt Bond, arriving there around 12pm. Continued to Bondcliff, arriving there around 1pm. Walked around the area and enjoyed the great view until 2pm, when we turned around back to Mt. Bond, took 45-min to climb back. Left Mt Bond at 3pm, back the way we came, trying a short extension to Mt Guyot at ~3:40pm on the way back. Hiked back up to South Twin by 5pm. The final 0.8 mile descent to AMC Galehead hut was most challenging at the end of the day but arrived there at 5:30pm, just before it started to rain.
The weather has been great most of the day with great 360-degrees visibility until 5pm. The dinner served at 6pm at the hut was most rewarding experience after a long day of 16.7 miles hiking, 12h.
