Ascent Trip Report

Lovely weather, swift climb. Lend-a-Hand trail (leading down from Mt Hale to Zealand Hut) is an absolute delight: a mile of board-walk over marshy land with plenty of moss and ferns that remind me of the Pacific Northwest, blueberry and raspberry bushes intruding into the paths and offering tart but pleasant snacks. We splashed around Zealand Falls a bit before taking the smooth walk along the beaver-dammed lake back to the car.
