Ascent Trip Report

KENT HILLS ..... very difficult/impossible to identify "the" HP, needs someone a lot better than me.
After having breakfast at a Moncton Tim Hortons, we found our way to the south side of Petitcodiac River, at hwy junction #112/910 (small white church on corner), where we drove south on 910 for 23.1km to a right turn on the dirt Prosser Brook Road (sign on corner,"TransAlta Kent Hills Wind Farm"), 3.2km southwest turned left onto the Kent Hills Farm Road (#185). We zeroed our odo.
0.0km .... left Prosser Brook Road, southeast bound
1.5km ... turned right at a T-Junctio southwest bound
5.2km ... turned left at T-unction (south)
6.8km ... arrived at high ground, turned right and parked at 100 meters. After checking out the area (per below), we found this to be the high ground of the area (way east of the PB coordinates). WE ENDED UP CHOOSING OUR HP 50 YARDS NORTHWEST INSIDE THE DENSE WOODS.

The Satellite Map clearly shows this area and should be looked-at in order to better understand my text.
From our parking spot we checked out the east-west ridge, wooded with very dense underbrush, impossible to see the ground. I have no way to accurately check for elevation.
We drove another .7km west and stomped/checked out the area inside the woods to the north (at the PB coordinates), came back half ways and did the same, then the area northwest of our parking spot.
Our eye level told us that our parking spot was at the roads highest elevation. I orange taped the areas I checked out.

I decided that the AREA NORTHWEST OF THE PARKING SPOT IS THE HP ..... heavily wooded, 50 yards northwest at 45.79581,-64.89697. This spot is perhaps 400 meters east of the PB coordinates.

CALEDONIA MOUNTAIN ...... a drive-up with short wack.
Easily done with Kent Hills.
From Prosser Brook Road (above) we continued south on 910 for 3.8km to a right turn on Caledonia Mountain Road, 1km southeast turned right onto unsigned gravel road that leads/climbs west .6km to the summit capped with a Communication Tower.
25 yards southwest of the Tower is a Witness Post with a BM embedded in a concrete pedestal "GEODETIC SURVEY OF CANADA #641011".
I went inside the woods (west of the Witness Post) and found another Survey Marker on a steel pipe "NB SURVEY #29788" at 25 meters west of the Witness Post (45.85168,-64.81311) .... the High Ground is near-by.

From here we drove back to Moncton, visited the beautiful old downtown area before going to Lutes Mountain.
