Ascent Trip Report

First mountain hike for me. Weather was pretty bad, but we drove 3 hours and were not going to be denied! Started out as a drizzle, working up to pretty heavy showers at some points. I huffed and puffed a bit in some of the steeper ascents, (I need to work on my aerobic endurance a little) but it wasn't extremely difficult. Weather finally broke when we reached the summit, but there was absolutely no view to be found. The descent was slow (especially when it's wet) and quite rocky, but not very hard. As it was my first "real" hike, and the weather was pretty bad, my buddy took it slower than he normally would and the whole trip was close to 7 hours... So, how do I feel after my first 3500+ ft. hike? I can't wait for the next one!
