Ascent Trip Report

Hiked the entire 10K ridge from East to West. Started from the Fish Creek trailhead and went straight south for about two miles, all up hill and cross country. First up was Hell for Sure Peak. This is the original location of the HPS 10KFoot Ridge Peak. The peak does not get many visitors. The register goes back to 1968 and there was one entry in 2010 and one in 2011. Next up was Newt's peak 9884', inofficial name, but had a register. On we went to 9971' which also had a register and since it is in an old Boston Tea Party can I have seen this peak referred to as Teabag Can Peak.Next bump had a 10K Foot register and the elevation was shown as 10055'. A few hundred yards another bump and yes another register. This was one was in a sturdy container that was chained and bolted to the rock and referenced Carmen Peak. Some dude named it after his mother. Finally, we got to the official location of the HPS peak 10K'ridge. Next up was Lake Peak and finally Zahniser. After all this cross country stuff we opted to take the fish creek trail back and make it a nice long loop. It took us 7 hrs 50 mins. to complete.
