Ascent Trip ReportOn a family holiday to Carinthia, we decided to ride the Kaiserburgbahn to the top station (both children love cable cars - must be an effect of growing up in Switzerland..). The top of the hill wasn´t too far away but Zoe (2) still needed to be carried at times as the gravel path was a bit bouldery and she kept tripping over big stones. Daniel (4) walked all the way by himself. The views were not great (in contrast to the optimistic weather forecast) due to heat haze and some low clouds obscuring the higher tops around. Nevertheless, the Grosser Rosennock showed well to the north, and Mirnock across the valley seemed almost close enough to touch. After a little picnic, we descended and got the cable car down to the valley. Hours in July 2013 were 9-12am and 1-4pm, cost was EUR19- return for adults, kids under 6 were free.
