Ascent Trip ReportThe road up granite creek wasn't bad all the way until it ends at the wilderness boundary. That spot also makes a great place to camp.
The trail is in surprisingly great shape and easy to follow except for the sections from the meadow at 10,200' to the ridge at 11,000' and from the ridge at 11,200 around the 11,385' sub-peak, but that terrain is fairly open and easy to handle. The switchbacks on the final slope made what was looking to be a painful slog into one of the easier sections.
