Ascent Trip Report

This was an easy walkup peak that Joel wanted to do for whatever reason during our drive up to Ely at the start of our Pilot/Ibapah trip. It was so short I left my pack in the truck and took only my GPS and a beer. We hit nearby Comet Peak (not a real peak) on the way down. For more of a challenge, one could start further down the road. We saw a herd of wild horses right on the road that spooked and nearly ran into Joel's Jeep on the way up.

Highland has cell phone towers on its summit, and you won't get better reception anywhere! This peak also has a porta-potty at the summit if you feel the need...

GPS track is for both peaks.
