Ascent Trip ReportCarpooled from the Market Basket in Hooksett, NH with a man named Mike. We saw a huge moose on the road in Crawford Notch. Hiked with the Random Group of Hikers Meetup, led by John Lagasse. The first two miles were almost completely level, the next three were a fairly relentless climb. There was a nice ridge walk near the top before the final push to the summit. Fire tower at the top. It was hot, humid, and dry for the ascent, but started pouring rain on the way down which lasted the whole way. I got several large mosquito bites. Overall, it was a nice group and a nice hike.
