Ascent of Signal Peak on 2006-08-24| Date: | Thursday, August 24, 2006 | | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | | Peak: | Signal Peak | | Location: | USA-Utah | | Elevation: | 10365 ft / 3159 m |
Ascent Trip ReportThis was a challenging hike. Among the challenges - high temperature for the altitude, a long trail, and a disheartening drop and regain of 400 feet. I tried to avoid the drop and regain of elevation by taking Forsythe Canyon on the way back, but the hike from the Forsythe Canyon trailhead back to the Browns Point trailhead was worse than the extra climbing.
