|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||11123 ft / 3390 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWe originally planned to ascend the west side, but found the road to get there impassable to the Subaru we had. The road on the east side was great by comparison. I think a standard car could make it, with care (along the main road only- the spur that heads up from the pass is high-clearance only- even the Subaru only made it up a bit).
As for the hike, there were some cairns, but they seemed much easier to follow on the way up. When available, they did point the better way, as we found out when we got off the route a couple times on the way down. That said, there was nothing too difficult, just more or less brush. There were a couple rocky sections, but nothing beyond class 2 (hands used for balance).
The view from the summit was truly incredible.
