Ascent Trip ReportStrawberry Knob is a mountain rising along the crest of the Unicoi Mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina (the border between the two states crosses the summit). The summit can be reached by following Road #95 from Beech Gap (Cherohala Skyway) for a half-mile or so. A heavily-overgrown manway leads to the summit. There were two ribbons in the summit's vicinity, although I couldn't tell if they were blaze ribbons or surveyor ribbons. I don't recommend following this manway if you're wearing shorts. It took me around 10 minutes to reach the summit area after departing 95.
