Ascent Trip Report

See earlier trip report here-

This time we were able to drive about a mile further, but then a serious rut (4 ft wide by 5 deep) made further driving (without repairing the road) impossible. We also found that by keeping more to the east side after heading north out of Scofield Canyon, we were able to virtually completely avoid the bushwhacking, instead following the old-road remains and then some decent trails (a couple may have been animal trails, but they worked). The long steep section was more brutal than I had remembered.
