Ascent Trip Report

I started at 6am from parking area by myself and was on top of Wittenberg Mt. by 8:30am. It was windy for most of the hike, but it helped to keep me cool. When I got to the top I could see the Ashokan Reservoir. The view was not that good because of the clouds. From there I went on to Connell Mt.. I was on Cornell Mt. by 9am and back on Wittenberg by 9:24am. There was no other person around on either summit.I ran into eleven other people on the way back down, all within two miles of the begining of the trail. That is when it started to rain. I was back at the car at 11:18am. What a hike! Iam going to do it again in the winter.
