Ascent Trip ReportWe stayed at Zealand campground on Friday night. In the morning we spotted two cars. One at the end of Garfield trailhead and another at Galehead trailhead. We began our hike at about 8:15 AM. It was a beautiful, sunny day.We arrived at the Guyot tentsite at about 2 PM. We were all pretty tired and hungry. Fil's knee was bothering him a little so he decided to stay and put up the tent and cook dinner. Claire had brought some delicious chilli and Fil made some lip smackin'corn bread. The rest of us left our packs there and went to the 3 Bonds. We left about 3 PM and came back about 7. Dinner was ready and the tent was up. We relaxed and ate and then went into the tent. We played roll the pigs for a bit and then went to bed.
The next morning, we awoke about 6:30 AM. Fil got up earlier to start breakfast. He made some potatoes and cheese. It was scrumpilicious. We packed up our stuff and set off at about 8 AM for Guyot, South and North Twin, Galehead and Garfield.
It was another sunny, cool day. The weather was absolutely perfect this trip. We took out time this day. We spent some time on South Twin to enjoy the sun and the views.
